This is my go to Sugar Free dessert for entertaining guests, very easy and always delicious. My Clafouti recipe is a healthy variation to a traditional French baked custard recipe.

You can even enjoy this dish as an easy breakfast alternative to pancakes.

I cook this as a wheat free, dairy free, sugar free dessert but you can use alternatives if you prefer. It is very easy to throw together, give it a try.

Ingredients

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 190C
  • Spray 4-6  small baking dishes (I use terracotta tapas dishes) with Coconut Oil or grease with butter
  • Place about 6 frozen cherries evenly around each of the dishes
  • Mix all remaining ingredients in a food processor or blender until well combined
  • Pour the batter gently over the cherries in each dish (easier to have your small dishes on a baking tray for easy transfer to the oven once filled)
  • Bake for 30 minutes until the custard batter has turned light brown and is puffed up
  • Serve immediately with a dollop of double cream, vanilla yogurt (Jalna is Sugar Free) or Cashew Cream
  • Enjoy xoxSha
